Tony Blair wears more than one hat. The current president of Evangelical Seminary, Tony is also a professor, and when he graduated from Evangelical, he was serving as a full-time pastor. Since then, he says he has "one foot in the church and one in the academy."
Tony has served churches in Harrisburg and York County, as a church planter, and in conference leadership with United Brethren in Christ. For the last five years, he has been co-senior pastor of Hosanna! A Fellowship of Christians in Lititz, PA.
Long before he was its president, Evangelical shaped Tony's decision to serve in higher education.
"Evangelical made me a church historian," Tony says. "It was at Evangelical that I decided to pursue an academic career and to do that as an historian. And Dr. Bob Hower modeled how to be deeply spiritual as an historian/academic."
