Tom Clawser grew up attending Fontana United Christian, the chapel where he now has served as pastor for 11 years. The chapel is community-owned and shared by two churches.
"The greatest advantage was learning to know God better, so that I can help others do the same," he says. "I am convinced there is no better way to live in Christ than learning to know what God loves, his heart for the oppressed, his love for the unlovable, and his interest in every facet of our lives--from the magnificent to the mundane!"
As a bivocational pastor, Tom sees benefits among the challenges of the position. "Helping others develop Christ-centered attitudes and principles in the workplace is enhanced by my daily experience," he says. "I believe God has me in this ministry model intentionally."
