After graduation Sterner worked at AseraCare Hospice in Lancaster, Pa., as a spiritual care and bereavement coordinator.
"Working in Hospice gave me the opportunity to integrate my medical background (R.N.-Critical Care) with spiritual care and counseling," she says.
She now serves as pastor of Avon Zion United Methodist Church in Lebanon. She says, "The best part of my work in ministry is seeing people find healing and freedom as they encounter God's deep love for them. It is a great joy and privilege to be a spiritual companion in God's ongoing transformative work."
Her personal spiritual formation began at Evangelical and continues as she pursues studies at Loyola University, Md., in pastoral counseling and spiritual care.
