Since graduation, Juliana has served as a chaplain in California, Wisconsin, Kentucky, North Dakota, and Texas. She is currently the Chief of Chaplain Service for the South Texas Veterans Health Care System, and has chaplain staff at three facilities. She has received the Veteran Affairs Secretary's Award for Excellence in Chaplaincy and the VA Best Practice award for a Family Support Group Curriculum she developed. Additionally she authored the "God Understands" series published by the American Bible Society and led the way for her current department to be the first VA chaplain service to receive joint accreditation.
Juliana has spoken at numerous conferences on a variety of spiritual topics, hosted clergy outreach events on veteran spiritual issues, serves on the VA Chaplain Field Leadership Council, and is chairing the VA Chaplain Gold Standards of Care Initiative. She is also working on a Ph.D. in Organizational Leadership at Regent University.
