When a church wants to offer a course on basic Christianity, Jacki Tase helps them do it. As an associate director for Alpha, Jacki trains pastors and church and lay leaders to run the Alpha Course, the Marriage Course and the Parenting Course. "Because of this, I have the wonderful opportunity to work with many pastors and leaders of all Christian denominations and those who have the same passion as I do in reaching as many people as possible with the Gospel of Jesus Christ," she says.

At Evangelical, Jacki's own beliefs were strengthened and challenged, providing her the necessary tools to train others. "I am truly grateful every day that I serve the Lord because I love what I am doing," she says. "To help others share their faith, to see people come to know the living God is an amazing and wonderful opportunity and gift. Evangelical strengthened and deepened the foundation of my Christian faith, challenging me to truly understand why I believe what I believe. It enhanced my love for the Scriptures and the God they reveal to us. The professors at Evangelical modeled Christian leadership with integrity and passion which has helped shape me personally but also the many leaders I help to train."

For Susan Eberly, having a master's degree in marriage and family therapy is about healing. After graduating from Evangelical, Susan wrote a novel – My Sweet Love: Hope for the Wounded Heart -- based on what she'd learned during her studies. In it, a woman going through a transitional period reaches out to a therapist to help her through the process. "The novel was written to inspire others that while walking through the healing process they can remain faithful to God and to themselves," Susan says.

She's also begun another journey, that of opening her own therapy practice, All About You Counseling Service, in Myerstown. Also in the works are seminars focused on issues women face (such as empty nest, self-esteem and inner healing) and marriage issues.

"My time and education at Evangelical gave me a new perspective," Susan says. "As I see things through a new lens I am able to reach to a deeper level and touch the lives of those that I come into contact with, looking at the world with a renewed faith, renewed hope and renewed love."

Bob Sproul has been on staff at Evangelical Free Church of Hershey, first as youth pastor, and now as pastor for worship and music, for 34 years. In 2008, he received a doctor of worship studies from the Robert Webber Institute for Worship Studies and has taught a class, "The Church at Worship," at Evangelical.

Outside of church, Bob contributes musically as the principle trombonist and assistant conductor of the Hershey Symphony Orchestra. He also plays in the Hershey Big Band.

His time at Evangelical helped shape his worldview. "My Evangelical education helped me more fully see the world around me through a Biblical and Theological lens so that I can better share and proclaim a full-orbed gospel," he says.

While studying at Evangelical under one of her great heroes, her father David Dorsey, Sarah Dorsey Bollinger decided to follow in his footsteps and purse doctoral studies to eventually teach Old Testament at a college or seminary. One step at a time, Sarah is within reach of that goal.

Four years ago, she began a Ph.D. at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in Cincinnati, Ohio. She has begun her dissertation, the final step before graduation.

"In light of my current studies, I have so much appreciated the solid theological and Biblical foundation given to me in my years at Evangelical. The Christ-centered teaching and fellowship at Evangelical has sustained me throughout my education and journey as a conservative Christian in a variety of academic settings."

Neville has served as assistant pastor at Mount Zion Road Church of the Brethren in Lebanon, PA, as a church planter in Allentown, PA., and as a family therapist for KidsPeace Outpatient in Allentown, PA. He also has served on the board of directors of Teams for Medical Missions.

Preaching, teaching and counseling are the best parts of his ministry, and he sees the fruit of those efforts. "Discipling youths in Allentown and baptizing 10 in one day, counseling couples who were on the verge of divorce and seeing them make transformation in their lives and relationships and decide to stay married, and co-leading 18 college students on a cross- cultural trip to Jamaica and observing positive growth in their spiritual lives," are listed among his ministry highlights.

That fruit wouldn't be possible without the strong roots of his seminary education. "Evangelical provided me with spiritual foundation, leadership skills, and counseling skills that have helped me remain effective in ministry even during challenging times," he says.
